What Seeds Have You Sown?
What is the first thing that comes to thought when we think about the rain? Most people say this is the best sleeping weather, or we needed the rain because the ground has been hard and dry. Some like the rain because it waters their foundation but the most common thing we hear is, Our plants needed this water for the rain. Do we ever think about our "spiritual garden?" I didn't really take much thought about my own personal garden until today.
I am sharing this post because I strongly feel as though it was the Holy Spirit that spoke this to me. With that being said I felt the urge to share because I never want to be caught being selfish holding onto a word especially if it can benefit someone else's life. So here we go:
I was dropping my Daughter off at school It was raining so we walked under the only umbrella that I had. As I got up to the door to drop her off, Her principal has asked us how was our day. I said to him that this is the day that the Lord has made and I shall rejoice and be glad in it, in spite of this rain. Then the Principal said well I like the rain. I said I do too that means the blessing is coming and then I said my goodbyes and walked back to my car. I got back in my car and I turned off the radio and just drove in silence like I regularly do. As I was driving a very strong thought came across. In the rain I water your seeds. In the rain the blessing and the curses come. What does this mean? It means that we have to be very careful about the seeds that we sow. I do believe that we are in a harvest time but also believe that it will be based off of the seeds that we have planted. With that being said, if you have planted seeds of anger, disrespect, unrighteousness, doubt , and any other thing that has been sown from misguided emotion, you will reap what you sown when your harvest comes. Same goes for the good things that you have done such as giving to someone in need or to the ministry of Jesus, Having faith, joy, prayed for others etc. All those seeds will harvest a blessing for you as well.
This left me a very important question that I had to ask myself, what seeds have I sown? I asked myself this because I am human and even though I love the Lord I would like to my conscience to be clear if I've done anything that is not like Christ. I can pretty much bank on it that I've done something because I'm far from perfect. The good thing is we serve a God who loves us has has the power to pluck up our mess, till our spiritual ground afresh so that we can plant good seeds that will benefit our lives and the Kingdom of God. So during your quiet time I urge you to contemplate on things you may have done, confess and asked for forgiveness. Allow God to fix it because we don't want to reap anything that this world has to give. We only want what God wants for our lives and it is one of his principles what you sow you reap. We sow seeds on a daily basis so be mindful of how you sow your seeds.
I will end with this anytime that we want to prove that the word of God is true, When he speaks its important that we find it in his word. So I will leave you with the Biblical version of what God shared with me this morning. I hope this blog blesses you.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap everlasting life. Galatians 6:7-8

The Power of Forgiveness
I read something awesome in my Bible. It said; Forgiveness is the divine means of removing sin and restoring fellowship between God and Man. We want to have a relationship with Christ that is fully restored because we can't make it without him at all.
Read Mark 2:1-7 I love this story because it shows the Loving power of forgiveness and instant restoration spiritually and naturally. I say that because spiritually he was restored to the kingdom and naturally because now he is whole. He no longer has to suffer from paralysis or involuntary tremors. He got to continue living his life free from that pain, embarassment and depending on others to get him where he needed to be. This is what forgiveness does for us and it will also free you up from others.
Choosing to forgive:
When you make it up in your mind to forgive its another example of why the Bible says that we are in the world and not of it. Or you hear things like I am just a pilgrim in a strange land passing through. Once we give out lives back to Christ we then start trying to be more like him daily. Doing this would lead us to a life of separation. To live a life of separation it goes far beyond the way that you look on the outside, the way that you talk or how many scriptures that you may know. These are good things but there is more to it. We also make sure that the choices we make are separate from some of the choices that people make that are unbelievers. Don't get me wrong there are many believers and non-believers that struggle with forgiving one another. I am one of them that had a reason in my opinion at the time and a right to not forgive until my relationship from God turned into desiring the knowledge of God and the more that I took time to seek the Lord, the more revelation I received and I noticed that forgiveness is necessary for my walk in him. It wasn't until the day that I was filled with the Holy Spirit that I was free and had the ability to actually follow through, forgive the harms in my past and move on. Knowing that we have that freedom is such a blessing we need to learn how to utilize it and let things go.
So I encourage you to stay strong, stand out and don't fall into the heavy temptation of unforgiveness. God doesn't want us to be bound by anything. He came so that we can be free. So if you are dealing with this leave me a prayer request in the comments below or you can email me at thealterministry@gmail.com So that you can have freedom in Jesus Name!

The Power of Confession...
This beautiful scripture was written by King David and it is a sure reminder of how much unconfesed sin can take a toll on your body. A lot of us are dealing with sickness and disease because we are holding onto issues that we have had in the past. The longer you harbor your iniquity the effect that it takes upon your body and you been to feel bad, hopeless and sometimes sick
The greatest gift that we can give ourselves is the freedom to talk to God no matter how we feel. He is always available 24 hours a day to hear our cries because he doesn't sleep. Even if you feel as though you can't get the words out sit in his presence, begin to praise him and he will soften your heart to where you can open up and talk to him.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into his courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to him, bless and affectionately praise his name. Psalms 100:4 (AMP)
Starting your prayer entering in properly will bring down any walls that you have built from holding on to sin. Sin just means that you missed the bulls eye. Jesus is the direct target so in order for us to stay in line with him we have to CONFESS.
Have you ever played cowboys and Indians as a kid? Remember how you use to hand cuff or rope yourself together so that you can be bound? When we walk around holding onto things we are roping ourselves. We tend to blame the devil that things are going wrong when really we are just carrying burdens we should have given to God. Once you confess the next thing we should do is repent. All that means is that we should make up our minds not to do it again. I am not saying that temptation won't come because everything confession and repentance is tested. Its just when it does you have the power to renounce the sin and remove it out of your life.
Confession brings you freedom and it brings you into a holy place with God He is Holy. We will only have surface prayers and never touch his throne if we don't come to him with a clean heart.
Below are a few scriptures that you can meditate on if you would like. I hope that God's word encourages you to have an open and honest relationship with him, So that your prayer life can be FULL IN HIM. God bless you all.
Scriptures for Meditation: (From the Amplified Version)
Would not God discover this? For he know the secrets of the heart. Psalms 44:21
So repent (change your mind and purpose); turn around and return (to God), That your sins may be erased (blotted out, wiped clean) that times of refreshing (of recovering from the effects of heat, of reviving with fresh air) may come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19
Search me (Thoroughly), Oh God, and know my heart! try me and know my thoughts. Psalms 139:24
Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right persevering and steadfast spirit within me. Psalms 51:10
Who can discern his lapse and errors? Clear me from hidden (and unconscious) faults. Psalms 19:12
He who covers his sins, will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Proverbs 28:13

When Did Life Gets So Busy?
Life nowadays is extremely busy. When we compare life now and life back in, Let's say, the 1960's the pace of how we lived then and the way we live now, has changed. People use to go to work, come home, have dinner with their families and on sundays they rested. Most companies were closed on Sundays during those times. Now, with that being said, I wasn't born in the "60's" I'm an "80's" baby but even in the 80s the times have drastically changed.
We live in a world where its about making money, no rest keeping on the grind and stacking paper. People are stressed and exhausted due to the fact that they aren't taking out the time to rest! Its almost like we crave being busy and its becoming an addiction that is slowly swifting us away from Christ. We're so busy that the lack of communication in our households is running rampant while God is sitting back saying what about me.
When we live "busy" our sincere prayers that we use to do have now turned into petitions of needs and wants because we now have no time to just sit in Jesus's presence and just worship who He is.
There needs to be a balance in our life and it must include Christ. We should reevaluate our schedules and make time to actually spend with God without rushing.
I love the story of Mary and Martha. Mary stopped everything to focus on Jesus. Martha, who also loved Jesus, was busy trying to make sure it was perfect in her house before the Lord showed up and thats ok but in the midst of her cleaning and busy attitude she missed what was much more important. Was she wrong? Absolutely not, she just needed balance. Don't you want to be in a place where you can discern when to just stop and go before God and not "squeeze" him in. He loves us so much He appreciates any time we give to him. What more can he reveal to us and love on us if we didn't just throw a prayer up?
Its time that we really stop and take time in the Lords presence. Its doesn't have to be long and drawn out, just enjoy him. Your Prayers can consist of just taking time and singing to God, we all make time to sing a tune here and there, but the atmosphere totally shifts when its to our Creator. You can also just read and reflect on His word and thank him for it. Sometimes just sitting and talking or silently sit still with your Bible open and ready because He may just speak to you is a good way to spend time with him. Whatever way you choose just try not to rush. You can tell when your rushing. The bad thing about rushing is sometimes things end up missing something valuae. We NEVER want to miss God. So I challenge you all to dedicate 10-15 relaxed minutes with Jesus. I guarantee you will want more of him. Also learn to rest we have 6 days a week given to us to work but be designed the 7th day to rest. So have peace in him, try it out, you'll never be the same again!
